Father's Day is coming up in a little over a week, so I thought I would work on the card for my Husband from our 16 month old little girl. I knew what technique I wanted to do, but also knew I needed to make it more masculine and my star stamps came to my head. The actual technique example I saw used flowers, but I wanted to make it a bit more masculine. As I visioned this card in my head I really started to like the concept and so I decided to just go along with it.
I took the light colored paper and lightly secured them together before stamping the background on them.
While the papers were still secured I added the big stars so that they would overlap onto the next size of paper.
Here is what the final part of the technique looks like all lined up and with the background color added.
I added the gold star with the word Dad (both cut from my Silhouette Cameo). It is kind of hard to see int he picture, but I used 3D adhesive foam to help make the star pop-up.
From my vision of what the front of the card was going to be I came up with this saying to incorporate everything together. The Happy Father's Day is also cut from the Silhouette.
I hope you enjoy this card and the technique I used.
This card is beautiful, Jess!
