Independence Day

I would like to thank all past and present military service members for all that they have done and all that they do for our country!

Being that it's Independence Day I saw it fitting to make a patriotic card. I saw this quilting technique on Pinterest and thought I would try it out. It turned out to be easier than it looks.

My base square is 4 x 4. I put adhesive over the whole square so that it was easy to adhere each piece nicely. My middle square that has the sentiment is cut at 1 3/4 inch. Each strip is cut 1/2 inch wide with no certain length. It's okay for it to hang over the edge because the ends get cut off to keep the square.

The blue background is a 4.5 inch square. The white background is a 5 inch square. The base card is a 5.5 inch folded square so you would cut the paper at 5.5 x 11 inches.
