Birthday Burst

A very special friend of ours has a birthday coming up, so I decided to make a card for her. This is called a swing card because of the way it opens up. I did all the cutting with my Silhouette. I added the words 'Happy Birthday' to the design instead of leaving it solid. 

This is the base of the card.

I decided to add the yellow burst for color. I forgot to take a picture of the next step, but I cut out a black burst. Instead of leaving it solid I typed in the words 'Happy Birthday'.

I took different colors of ribbon and put it behind the words to help make it 'pop'.
