Herringbone Technique

I found this technique online and thought 
I would try it out. 
I have a hard time figuring out what sentiment 
I want to use because 
I never know how many of each 
I will need throughout the year.  
I knew 
I wanted to make a card using some of my scraps. 
That can be hard to find pieces that will go nicely together.



First I cut strips of paper so that they were a half inch wide. 
You want them long enough so there is extra hanging off, which gets cut off later.

This is the start of the design. 
I used a 4 x 6 base.

This is how it looks after all the pieces are adhered and the ends cut off.

I chose to mount it on a grey background, using black cardstock for the base card. 
I added a dark pink ribbon at the bottom for decoration.

For the sentiment I cut a hexagon out with my 
Creative Memories cutting system.
